Hello everyone!
Thank you for your kind comments on the blog... Reading that it was -5 in Oneonta last night... brr!! I don't know the temperature last night, yet today it reached 19 degrees during the day... Celsius! 😊
Today was an awesome day!! We had a day long trip to the Oracle of Delphi. We ventured via chartered bus and had a wonderful tour guide (a great bus driver too!)
Our tour guide described different things on the two hour ride; from the economy to agriculture to personalities of different villages.
We took LOTS of pictures; I'll post a few here and in a second entry. The sun was shining, the sky was clear and the hike amongst the ruins was stunning.
After exploring the ruins for an hour and a half, we spent about another hour in the accompanying museum. Today's trip also included lunch at a nearby restaurant (some of the guys were adventurous and tried wild boar (delicious!) while others tried rooster (not a hit) while others tried lamb or beef (the veggies were tasty, too! 😊)
We arrived back in Athens in the late afternoon; everyone has the evening free to venture out before we depart tomorrow.
Tomorrow will start with a tour of the Acropolis! Then we'll head to the airport and fly to Sicily.
(Also, as we'll be arriving late in Sicily tomorrow, we probably won't have an update. We definitely will the day after.)
Now! The part you've been waiting for... The guys have been very happy to accommodate every picture request!
