Today was a lighter travel day, so we have fewer pictures to share. 😊
After dropping off our rental vehicles, we flew from Chania to Athens (a nice, 45 minute flight!)
We took the train into the city, everyone checked in to our accommodations, and we had a free afternoon (Greece is on "winter hours" so many tourist attractions close at 3 p.m.)
Tomorrow is a day trip to the Oracle of Delphi; a tour company is taking us up and back, while stopping at villages with historical significance along the way.
We did enjoy DELICIOUS (and cheap!) gyros and souvlaki platters for lunch; dinner was wherever anyone wanted to go (and, a few rejoiced (with a LOT of joy!) that Athens has a McDonald's... celebration milkshakes were had!)
It was a fun afternoon of sight seeing and exploring. Everyone will be well rested for tomorrow's adventure... After celebrating over a few beers for CJ's birthday!
